Kondagaon The Keshkal tribal society of Kondagaon district has submitted a memorandum in the name of Collector and SP to the police station and two sub-inspectors and demanding their sacking. There has also been a warning to agitate by blocking the wheel if the demand is not met. The memorandum mentions that retired teacher Lachhuram Nag father Khodiya Ram Nag age 66 years old is a resident of village Fish Block, Badrajpur. On 2 October, SI Sori and SI Patel, posted at Police Station, Vishrampuri, were assaulted and beaten up for allegedly stealing a house by entering the house at 7:00 pm without any search warrant or prior notice. I was brought to the station in charge of Vishrampuri.

The police station in-charge said that Lachhuram Nag was taken to the ground and brought Rs 1 lakh within 1 hour and otherwise sent to jail. Fearing which Lachuram pleaded with folded hands and said how would I be able to give such a huge amount. Even after that, the police in-charge, under pressure, filed an FIR and sent him to jail. When he wanted to talk to his family on being nervous, the police station in-charge snatched the phone and started abusing him. 

Meanwhile, the former sarpanch Sakharam Markam and Lachuram’s younger son reached the police station, Lachhuram arranged to arrange 1 lakh amount and gave it to the station in-charge in 1 hour. After which arrangement of Rs 1 lakh was given to the station in-charge and Lachhuram was rescued. After which he came to all tribal society and told about the entire incident with him. 

Outraged by the incident, the tribal community reached the local tehsil office and gave a memorandum to the tehsildar Nayak to take action against the staff of the said police along with a refund of Rs 1 lakh in 48 hours. The tribal society has also been warned to jam the discus during the agitating demonstration.
