Etawah. Two real brothers of Usrahar police station area of Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh publicly thrashed a Dalit youth with shoes and slippers over a minor issue. Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Brijesh Kumar Singh said here on Friday that a Dalit youth was thrashed with shoes and slippers after a minor dispute over bike removal during Ganesh Mahotsav on September 20, the video of which went viral at the local Usrahar police station. Police have started action by registering a case under Sections 323, 504, 506 as well as ST-SC Act.
Singh told that the investigation of this case will be done by the Deputy Superintendent of Police of Bharthana, Vijay Singh. He told that the Dalit going for Ganesh immersion was thrown from the bike and beaten badly by two brothers with belts. When the video of this incident went viral, the police have registered a case against both the brothers who beat up. The matter is being told of 20 September. Ganesh idol of Usrahar was going to be immersed on this day. Babulal’s son Sonu Khatik was going on his bike at Bhartia intersection Bamba, while Jeetu Yadav, son of Englishman Yadav was also going on the other bike. It is said that Sonu’s bike was touched by Jeetu’s bike, so there was a dispute between the two in Usrahar itself. Seeing the dispute, people intervened and settled the dispute. Sonu told that after this he started going for immersion journey by bike. He had just reached near Rammpura village that Jeetu came from behind with his brother Ashish on a bike and pushed him down from the bike. Then both the brothers beat him badly with belts and slippers. Sonu kept on pleading to be saved, but both of them did not listen to him. During this, someone made a video of this incident.
