Dalit family attacked in Rabupura, four women and three youths injured

Greater Noida/Rabupura. Four women and three youths were seriously injured in an attack on a Dalit family in Kanpur village of Rabupura on Sunday afternoon. It is alleged that after holding a meeting regarding the program of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, people from other societies attacked him for taking out a yatra in the street.

According to the police, people of Dalit community in the village had a meeting regarding Ambedkar’s program. Bhim Army workers also reached in this. After the meeting, people started taking out the journey from the street with DJ etc. It is alleged that while passing through the street, he got into an altercation with some youths of other society. People from other communities were protesting against passing through the street. When the people of the Dalit community objected, the accused attacked them. After this the people of the Dalit community went back, but after about half an hour the accused attacked the family of Ram Vilas, a resident of the village. The family was attacked with rods and shovels etc. In this Ram Vilas, wife Rajrani, sons Hrithik and Umesh, niece Muskan, Rajrani’s sister Geeta and Ram Vilas’s daughter-in-law Sunita were injured. Tension prevailed in the village after the incident. Police force has been deployed on the spot.

Chandrashekhar demanded strict action from the commission and the DGP,
Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar condemned the incident and demanded strict action. He has alleged by tweeting that the people of Rajput society have attacked for holding a meeting related to Ambedkar. He has demanded strict action from the Women’s Commission, SC / ST Commission and DGP taking cognizance of this matter.
As soon as the information was received in the matter, a case was registered on the basis of the complaint. Two police teams have been formed to arrest the accused. Police is deployed on the spot.
