
Uttar Pradesh. On the complaint of a Dalit woman from a village in Dankaur area of Greater Noida in UP, an FIR has been registered against eight people, including the then SDM Sadar and currently OSD of Greater Noida Authority, Rajnikanth, Tehsildar Akhilesh Singh and Vinay Bhadauria. It is alleged that keeping the caste enmity, the officials removed the name of the woman from the voter list, due to which the woman was deprived of voting. In the case, now the police have started investigating by filing a report on the orders of the court.

Hemlata, a resident of Roshanpur village of Dankaur Kotwali area in UP, comes from a scheduled society. Hemlata told, “The voter list was to be prepared by the officials regarding the assembly elections held in the year 2022. According to the order given by the Election Commission of India and the Chief Electoral Officer regarding the preparation of voter list, the deceased or temporary resident who has left the residence and The names of duplicate voters were to be removed from the voter list. I am a native of the village. I have been exercising my right to vote for many years. Keeping caste enmity, the officials deleted my name from the voter list. My vote is constitutional Right. Went to court because of cutting my name.
In this case, Dankaur Kotwali in-charge Sanjay Singh said, “Investigation has been started by filing reports in several other sections including fraud. Further action will be taken on the basis of evidence.”
In this case, Rajinikanth, OSD Greater Noida Authority (erstwhile SDM Sadar) told that “The photo of the woman was used in two voter ID cards. Because of this her name was struck off from the voter list.”
