A prisoner has died at the Jaleshwor Jail in Mahottari district on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Rajkaran Yadav, 80, of Loharpatti Municipality-1, Mahottari, according to the District Police Office, Mahottari. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Bista, Yadav, who was serving a 20-year sentence in a life sentence case, suddenly fainted at around 2 am on Friday.
He was rushed to the provincial hospital in Jaleshwor for treatment.
