Jagran Correspondent, Swar: The former chairman and his sons were
beaten up and injured by lathi sticks with the sticks of the farm. During
this time, he was also insulted by caste-related words. Police has filed a
report against the accused on behalf of the injured.
Dalit Janaki Prasad, a resident of Mashavi’s Bhulla Bhowra, was
directing his farmland. Suddenly the former chairman of Nagar
Panchayat Muhammad Ahmed Mulla and his sons Noor Muhammad,
Mukarram and Anwar reached there. It is alleged that they started
abusing him by insulting him with the words of caste. On protesting, all
four injured him by beating him with sticks. Hearing the noise, others
arrived, on whom the accused fled, threatening to kill him. On hearing
the victim’s relatives reached the spot. He got him admitted to the CHC
for treatment, where the doctors referred the district hospital after seeing
the critical situation. Kotwali in-charge Rum Singh Baghel said that a
report has been lodged against the accused.
