Giridih. In Giridih district of Jharkhand, criminals entered the house and gang-raped a Dalit woman and strangled her to death. The incident is from Amjo village of Bengabad block. It is being told that on Monday night, a 50-year-old Dalit woman was sleeping alone in her house. Taking advantage of this, the criminals broke into the woman’s house by breaking the door and gang raped her. The victim could not tell anyone about it, so they strangled her to death. At the same time, the accused destroyed the grain, cloth kept in the house and opened the box and stole thousands of rupees kept in it.
On Tuesday, the woman’s brother reached his sister’s house and called her. But when he did not get any answer from inside, he was blown away by what he saw when he entered the house. The woman was lying dead on the cot. He informed this to the Bengabad police, after which Kamlesh Paswan, in-charge of the Bengabad police station, ASI Sunil Singh reached the spot along with the team. He inquired from the relatives of the deceased and took stock. The brother of the deceased told that two months ago my brother was murdered. Now under the conspiracy, my sister has been gang-raped and strangled to death.
The Bengal Police has taken the dead body in its possession and after performing Panchnama, has sent it to Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Police station in-charge Kamlesh Paswan said that on receiving the information, we are investigating the matter after reaching the spot. He said that the family members of the victim have told that the woman was raped and murdered. However, it will be clear only after the postmortem report comes whether the woman was gang-raped or not.
