The villagers were upset with the family over Gemraram’s affair with a girl and alleged that his brother too was involved with another girl.
The villagers reprimanded the family over this, following which the family left the village and have lodged a case under the SC/ST Act.
According to information, Sajjan ka Paar resident Jamaram Meghwal and his family of 21 members have been evicted from their village in Barmer district.

Jugtaram, brother of Gemraram, giving a report at Beenjraad police station, said that a few people from the village on September 15 threatened to evict them from the village and threatened to burn their house.
On this, the villagers told them to send the family to other relatives’ place and vacate the house, following which the family left the village.
Jugtaram has demanded action against 10 people who he has named.
Gemraram’s brother Peetharam had eloped with a minor girl of the village one and a half months ago and Peetharam is in Barmer jail in the case.
