A minor Dalit girl was allegedly lured away and gang raped by three young men in the Pahasu police station area of Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.
The matter came to light when the victim’s father first approached police to file a complaint, claiming that his daughter had been abducted by a young man from another community. However, according to a statement which was later given by the victim in front of the magistrate, she was lured away by a young man on March 26 who then, along with two of his accomplices, raped her.
Meanwhile, the medical reports of the victim also suggested that she was sexually assaulted.

Based on the complaint and statement given by the victim, police registered a case and booked all the three accused under relevant sections of the law.
Speaking on the matter, in-charge SSP Surendra Tiwari said initially no complaint regarding sexual assault was filed. However, it was only after the victim’s statement and on the basis of her medical reports that a rape case was recorded.
While one of the accused has been arrested, two more involved in the case have been booked and further investigations are on, he added.
