Udaipur. Even after 70 years of independence, many cases of high discrimination, discrimination and casteism still occur. One such case has come up in Udaipur district. In Gogunda area of Udaipur (Udaipur), the fear of the Dalit groom being removed from the mare by the bullies at his wedding made him so upset that he approached the police for protection.
The special thing is that the groom himself is a constable in the Rajasthan Police. Despite being a police constable himself, he feared that the domineering people of the village would remove him from the mare. Therefore, he took out the procession (Bindoli) in police protection and performed the wedding rituals.
The
entire case deployed for the force of two police stations is from Rao Madra village of Gogunda police station area. Recently, Constable Kamlesh Meghwal was married to the police-administration. Even before the wedding, the groom Kamlesh requested for protection from Superintendent of Police, Dr. Rajiv Pachar. He was afraid that Dabangg would not let him climb the mare. On this, during the marriage of Kamlesh, two police stations including Deputy Superintendent of Police and Naib Tehsildar were deployed there. Wedding ceremonies were completed under police supervision
The groom Kamlesh’s brother Durgesh had told that in the village, people of Dalit society are not allowed to sit on a mare and remove the bindoli. Earlier too many such incidents have happened in the village, when the Dalit groom was removed from the mare at the time of Bindouli. Because of this, the help of police and administration was sought before marriage. The wedding rituals were completed under police supervision. Such an incident has happened in the year 2019
Let us tell you that in the Gogunda and Ghasa police station area of Udaipur, the incidents of the removal of the groom from the scheduled castes and tribes by mare have already happened. For this reason, the people of the Scheduled Tribes are apprehensive about taking out Bindoli in the villages. A similar incident took place in the year 2019. In it, a Dalit groom in Thana village was insulted by taking him off the mare.
