Amravati: Rape of women is increasing day by day. Being alone is a state of fear. Similar atrocities happened in Amravati also. A Dalit girl was raped in Tenali of Guntur district. The man next door committed this heinous crime by getting drunk. Zakariya (27) was found guilty of rape on Saturday afternoon, while the girl’s parents were not at home. Police arrested him and produced him in court on Sunday. The atrocity happened when the parents left their speechless 20-year-old daughter alone at home and went to work.

After the family informed about dial 100, the police came and complained to the victim’s family. The girl was taken to Tenali Government Hospital. Doctors told that the health of the victim is stable. Respondent Zakaria says that in the past the parents of the victim suspected her behavior and warned them not to come home when they were not there. Police said the accused Tapi was drinking alcohol with the money he was working with. He said that his wife had gone to Putti for the birth.

The police called the teachers of a deaf school in Guntur and talked to the victim to get full details of the incident as she was a dumb girl. Police said that they will soon file a charge sheet and convict the accused.

Meanwhile, on May 13, a tragic incident happened in Goa. The tragic incident of molesting a foreign girl at a resort in Goa has come to light recently. A 12-year-old Russian girl has been arrested for sexually assaulting a room attendant at a resort in northern Arambol. The victim’s mother had lodged a complaint with the police station on September 9 that the accused raped her daughter on June 6 in a swimming pool and then in a hotel room.

The police have said in their complaint that when she went out to buy some items in a nearby market, she left her daughter in the swimming pool. Pernem police inspector Vikram Nayak said that the accused fled after the incident. Within 24 hours of receiving the complaint, he identified himself as Ravi Lamani from Gadag in Karnataka and was arrested on 10th of this month. The accused is also married. Police said that a case has been registered against the accused under several sections including POCSO Act.
