The guard, Anoop Kumar, alleged that the accused, Bhavya Rai, was under the influence of alcohol.
The incident took place on Saturday evening at around 5:45 pm at a Jaypee Group society in Noida. The woman allegedly got into an argument with the guards over a delay in opening the gates.
After the argument, the security guard filed a complaint against the woman at the Sector 126 police station.
“Me and my fellow guards tried to stop her plenty of times but she did not listen and went on insulting me and even used an insult and slur towards the Bihari community,” Kumar said.
“She tore my uniform and misbehaved with our supervisor,” the security guard said.
“We protect people and see the way we are treated. I appeal through the media that we should also be given respect,” Kumar noted.
The police filed an FIR and arrested the woman on Sunday. The woman was later sent to 14-day judicial custody.
