The villagers pelted stones fiercely after reaching the Bistan police station. Several vehicles were also damaged in stone pelting. In fact, three days ago, the Bistan police had detained 12 people on suspicion of theft and robbery.
A tribal youth named Bisen had died in police custody. Angered by the death of the youth, the people of the tribal society stormed the police station. The tribals who came in hundreds pelted stones at the police station and ransacked. 3 police personnel were injured in the incident.
The police used tear gas shells to disperse the furious tribals. Police personnel have also been injured in this incident.
Car overturned after Tuesday morning’s ruckus
The police force fired tear gas shells and dispersed the crowd. According to the information, a few days ago, 12 people of village Kherkundi were caught by the police in connection with the robbery at Jhagdi Ghat. After the death of one of these accused, angry people demonstrated in the police station.
Meanwhile, on getting information about the incident, senior police officers also reached the spot. After the incident, the Congress has accused the government of oppression and oppression with the tribal class. The party has demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter as well as action against the culprits and the help of the victims’ families.
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has constituted an inquiry committee in the matter. The inquiry committee constituted under the chairmanship of former minister Vijayalakshmi Sadho consists of 4 members. Let us tell you that in Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, some anti-social elements had dragged tribal youth Kanhaiya by tying him to a car. He was also assaulted. Youth Kanhaiya was killed in this incident.
After this incident, tribals of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat gathered in large numbers in Neemuch to protest.
