Rajasthan. In Udaipur, upper caste women stopped a Dalit woman from entering a temple. The woman had gone to worship at the Dasha Mata temple. However, the upper caste women also apologized to the Dalit woman for opposing her.

In Rajasthan, the news of Dalit atrocities has come to the fore in different forms. This is not a new incident of Dalits not being allowed to enter the temple, even before that such reports have been coming from other parts of the country as well. There was a program of worship of Dasha Mata temple in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in which a large number of women and men were also present. Meanwhile, a Dalit woman who had reached for worship was stopped by the upper caste women present there and refused to worship. After this, when the Dalit woman and the people living with her protested, the upper caste women apologized with folded hands and talked about ending the matter there. According to the information, no complaint has been lodged with the police in this matter so far.

Significantly, Rajasthan is becoming an unsafe place for Dalits, Adivasis, and recent such incidents only reinforce this. A few days ago, a young man named Jitendra Meghwal was murdered in Pali just because he had a moustache, used to wear good clothes. The same thing was not liked by the upper caste people and he was murdered with a knife.

In another case, a Dalit youth in Alwar made a Facebook comment about the film “The Kashmir Files” costing him dearly. A young man named Rajesh Meghwal wrote that, ‘Everyone sees the pain of Pandits, but no one sees the atrocities against Dalits and no one makes a film on them’. After this Facebook comment, Yadav and Pandit of the village itself People not only apologized to him, but also rubbed his nose on the bead kept on the doorstep of the temple.

And now this latest case has come up in Udaipur. In which the Dalit woman was stopped from entering the temple. However, later the upper caste women apologized with folded hands. No complaint of any kind has reached the police regarding this matter.

But in the midst of all these incidents, the big question arises that neither Rahul Gandhi nor Priyanka Gandhi is able to speak on these incidents in Congress-ruled Rajasthan. Whereas in BJP ruled states, politics starts as soon as such incidents come to the fore.
